The Home College Partnership

We continue the close contact with parents, developing the partnership which we know helps students as they progress. We value the three-way relationship between students, parents/carers and staff. The first point of contact with college is the Personal Tutor.
Over the next few months a number of important events will be taking place leading up to the transfer of students to Year 10 at Northallerton College. The following is a summary of the programme.

Dates for your diary

Thursday 17 January 2012
Open Evening at Northallerton College (6.30pm – 8.30pm) for all Year 9 students and parents.
This evening aims to provide more details, and to allow you and your son/daughter to talk to staff and current students.

Monday 25 and Monday 30 January
College staff attending Year 9 Consultation at Allertonshire School to give advice regarding options.

Week beginning 28 February
Individual interviews with personal tutor and college curriculum advice and guidance team.

From Monday 2 July
Transfer Project: students will be at Northallerton College.
The programme will be available after Easter.

Mrs Phipps (Assistant Principal), and Mr Tyreman (Year Manager) at the college are responsible for the induction of Year 9 students and are already working closely with the Allertonshire staff. As these events approach, further details will be issued, but please don’t hesitate to make contact with Mrs Phipps/Mr Tyreman or the Allertonshire if specific queries need to be addressed, or if there’s anything that’s not clear.
