At Northallerton College we aim to create a positive climate where professional development (CPD) can flourish to the benefit of individual students recognising it is central to school improvement.

We have a full programme of events in partnership with Risedale Sports and Community College and other local schools which are linked with performance management. In doing so, it builds upon and shares the knowledge and skills of staff, and meets the needs of individuals and teams, as well as those of the whole college.

Our programme includes our annual Federation Staff Conference in October and our Leadership Series.

CPD at Northallerton College takes place in many forms and includes stand alone presentations, coaching, collaborative projects, faculty team work, series of events around a theme, as external courses. Specific CPD is provided as part of the induction of new staff , NQTs and student teachers. We aim to make all our CPD practical and appropriate relating it closely to classroom needs and involving students as well as staff and Governors. CPD is evaluated regularly.

If you work in education and would like to attend any of the events scheduled you would be most welcome. Please click on the link below and follow the instructions.
